How to Use NK LiNK

Your SpeedCoach GPS2 with Training Pack will connect to a computer or smart device through the NK LiNK computer or mobile app. LiNK is the SpeedCoach’s data transfer program It is also how you are able to update your unit as firmware updates and new features are released. You DO need the Training Pack version of the SpeedCoach in order to download your data, but if you have the app, you can still do firmware updates with LiNK and the basic version of a SPC GPS2 (no data transfer is possible with a model 1).

What can I do with LiNK?

  • Wirelessly transfer 'just go' and workout interval data to PC, Mac, iOS, or Android device for viewing and storage.
  • In the LiNK computer and smart device app you can easily view your workout summaries and splits down to the 100m level.
  • Export data to charting and analysis programs, such as Excel, via CSV.
  • Export data to FIT file format to enable transfer to third-party websites, such as Endomondo, Strava, Training Peaks, and any FIT-compatible site. These sites enable you to view your workout or race on detailed maps, share your results with friends or coaches, and even compare your results with others.

Any data hacks?

  • With the release of the NK LiNK app you now have more control of your SpeedCoach data than ever before right from your Android or iOS device. While we are hoping to create an easier way to send your SpeedCoach workout data to sites like Strava and Training Peaks through our app, for now, these are the best work arounds we've found!
    • GOTOES (http://gotoes.org/strava/Strava_Email_Uploader.php) is an easy way to connect your SPC data to Strava.
      • Create an account with GOTOES with the link above
      • Connect your GOTOES account with Strava
      • After you've done that, any email you send to stravaupload@gotoes.org with your SPC fit files attached will be uploaded to your Strava Account.
      • From your NK LiNK app, click "select" and choose the workouts you'd like to export
      • Once you're done, select “export" and choose the email option
      • Address the email to stravaupload@gotoes.org and hit send! Boom. Your data will magically zoom over to Strava.
    • TAPIRIIK (https://tapiriik.com/) syncs your workout data between a ton of 3rd party sites. You can either choose to pay $2/year for it to sync automatically, or visit their webpage to manually trigger a sync.
      • From their main page, select all the accounts you'd like to connect (example, Dropbox, Strava, Training Peaks, and SportTracks). Once, the sites are connected, the magic begins.
      • Sample process after connecting your selected sites and tapiriik
      • Download your SPC data to your NK LiNK app
      • Click "select" and choose the workouts you'd like to export
      • Once you're done, select "Export," and choose the Dropbox (assuming you have the Dropbox app on your phone/tablet) option
      • If you've chosen to pay $2/year, your work is done! Otherwise, quick hop onto the tapiriik webpage and it will sync up your accounts.
Rowsandall.com

This is a really fantastic training site if you are a rower. Their creator has worked hard to make the site compatible with NK data (including EmPower Oarlock data!). Once you have an account (the basic version is free), you'll have the ability to email CSV or FIT files to your account by sending them to workouts@rowsandall.com

  • Sample process after creating an account at http://rowsandall.com
    • Download your SPC data to your NK LiNK app
    • Click “select" and choose the workouts you'd like to export.
    • Once you're done, select “export," and choose the email option
    • Address the email to workouts@rowsandall.com with your chosen subject line and hit send!
