We own a interval 2000 stopwatch (which we use for swimming), but now the top middle button is not working anymore (so no stroke rate, turning off or turning on :-() Is there any way that I can open up the stopwatch and see if it is possible to repair?

Hello Rinze, Unfortunately the buttons are not repairable as they require rebuilding the entire unit to fix. If the unit is still within the 2 year warranty, we will replace for you. Otherwise your only option would be a trade-in towards the purchase of a new Interval. Please contact Roeigoed in the Netherlands and they can assist you moving forward.
